Chamber Welcomes New Board at AGM

News Release – April 13, 2026

The Kitimat Chamber of Commerce held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, April 9, where members welcomed the incoming Board of Directors and received updates from the District of Kitimat and key industry stakeholders.

The new Board will be officially sworn in by Mayor Phil Germuth. At their first meeting, the Board will begin discussions to establish priorities for the 2026–2027 term.

During the AGM, members were invited to share their perspectives on what the Chamber’s focus should be over the coming year. Feedback highlighted several key themes, including:

  • Increased engagement with provincial and federal representatives through events such as
    luncheons and dinners
  • Continued dialogue with industry partners in Kitimat to strengthen alignment and maximize
    opportunities for local businesses
  • Stronger promotion of “buy local” initiatives, both within major operating companies and across the broader community.

2026–2027 Board of Directors:
