Announcement of behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce would like to share that Laurel D’Andrea, our Executive Director, will be stepping away from her role with the Chamber effective October 30, 2026.
Laurel has dedicated considerable time, energy, and heart to the Chamber and to the Kitimat business community during her time as Executive Director. Her commitment to supporting local businesses, creating opportunities for our members, strengthening community partnerships, and helping move the Chamber’s work forward has made a meaningful difference.
We are sincerely grateful for all that Laurel has contributed during her time with the Chamber. We recognize the relationships she has built, the many initiatives and events she has helped bring to life, and the care she has shown for our members and the broader community.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank Laurel for her dedication and service and wish her all the very best in the next chapter of her journey.
Over the coming weeks, the Board will focus on ensuring a smooth transition and will keep our members and community informed as we move forward with plans for the Chamber’s leadership.
We are also asking our members and community to help us spread the word about the Executive Director opportunity. Sharing the job posting through your networks will help us reach the right person to lead the Chamber into its next chapter. The position will also be posted on the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce Job Bank, WorkBC Job Centre, Indeed, and our social media channels.
