Kitimat LNG is a 50% Chevron & 50% Woodside co venture project, on Haisla Traditional Land. This facility will be the first all-electric LNG plant in the world to be fully powered by clean hydroelectricity. Natural gas will be delivered via a pipeline lateral of approximately 471-km, 42 inch pipeline from Summit Lake to Kitimat via the Pacific Trail Pipeline. The proximity of Kitimat LNG to the existing natural gas transmission infrastructure is one of the advantages of this project and ensures supply is readily accessible to the facility.
