Tracey was born and raised on a grain and cattle farm in rural Saskatchewan. He comes from a large working-class family, believes in community spirit and involving himself in his locality.
Kitimat has been Tracey’s home since 1993, when he was a Methanex operator, until today with his wife and two great kids. Since the Methanex closure Tracey has since branched out and started other businesses in Kitimat from Lodging and Guided Fishing to Water Taxiing and Spill Response.
Tracey feels that being a Director of the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce is a great way to communicate with other like-minded people, while also helping new business people form connections. Kitimat is such a diverse community and without the Chamber of Commerce, members could not communicate their voice of business.
