District of Kitimat

The District of Kitimat is a municipality in northwest British Columbia governed by a Council of one mayor and six councilors. They are responsible for local government services and policies, and ensuring the District of Kitimat resources are used for the benefit and protection of its residents. Municipal committees are groups of volunteers who meet to discuss and help make decisions on issues that affect the community.
