This social group is dedicated towards those living/working in Kitimat or surrounding area. This group is your go to resource for discovering, attending events, sharing the best activities and things to do in our vibrant community.

The Kitimat Airshed Group (KAG) is a collaborative platform for the public, industry, First Nations, and government agencies and promotes transparency and continuous improvement in the airshed. The Kitimat Airshed Group provides air quality education to support public awareness of timely, representative, and scientific monitoring data that has been reviewed and promotes clean air for the health, well-being and safety of people and the environment.

KAG offers community programs such as the community wood smoke rebate reduction program, tree planting, and educational presentations. 

The Kitimat General Hospital Foundation (KGHF) has been established to address the ongoing health care needs of the community. The KGHF raises funds for crucial healthcare equipment and needs in the community.

Operated by the Kitimat Flying Club, a registered non-profit society, under a long-term lease with the District of Kitimat.

Listed as a registered airport in the Canadian Flight Supplement.

Due to high trees on approach paths and runway, and taxiway conditions it is recommended that pilots unfamiliar with the air park conduct a ground inspection prior to usage.

Kitimat Flying Club regular meetings held first Wednesday of each month. Please contact us for more information.

The Rotary Club of Kitimat is a non-profit service club, which was formed on October 15, 1956.

The Luso Canadian Association is a non profit membership- Portuguese Club. They operate a lounge (bar) and offer catering services. They also have a banquet hall for community rentals.

The Kitimat Rod & Gun Club work towards the sound, long-term management of fish, wildlife, park and outdoor recreational resources in the best interest of all residents of the province.

Visit them on Facebook to stay informed about upcoming events, trail updates and mountain conditions.

The Kitimat Snowmobile & Hikers Club is a nonprofit organization led by volunteers and funded by membership dues, taking care of cabin and trail maintenance.

There are two scenic snowmobile trails to choose from - Clague Mountain and Robinson Ridge. Both trails feature an overnight cabin, considered by some to be the nicest snowmobile cabins in the province. Cabin users need a membership per Kitimat Snowmobile & Hiker's Club.

Those who use the cabins are asked to leave them as they found them..
