The Kitimat Business Bootcamp is a series of workshops organized by the District of Kitimat and Kitimat Chamber of Commerce. Entrepreneurs are welcome to participate in:

  • Any of the 4 sessions designed to address challenges identified in the 2025 Annual Business Walk

    • Brand Identity: A guide to developing a strong brand for your business.

    • Digital Marketing: Strategies and tools to grow your online presence and reach your audience. 

    • Business Collaboration: Content, partnerships & community reach. 

    • Multi Channel Solutions: An interactive workshop for streamlining in-person and online sales, systems, and smart digital strategies across multiple platforms. 

  • Destination University which is a self-paced opportunity to learn how to become a destination business from the Jon Schallert Group. Training exclusively designed for Kitimat business owners focused on attracting more local customers more out-of-town residents, more visitors and higher-spending tourists.

  • The Kitimat Business Builders Competition where businesses pitch for $6,000 in grants to grow their operations.

Note:

  1. All participating businesses must be located in Kitimat or Kitamaat Village.
  2. The Kitimat Business Builders Competition requires attending at least two (2) workshops to participate in.
  3. Winners from the 2024 and 2025 Kitimat Business Builders Competition are only eligible to participate in the workshops and Destination University.
