Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a key event where the Chamber of Commerce welcomes its newly elected Board of Directors—leaders who guide the Chamber's direction and make decisions that support businesses of all sizes in the local community.

Supporting Kitimat

At the AGM, the Chamber highlights achievements from the past year and outlines plans for the future. This includes supporting business growth, engaging with the community, and exploring new solutions—such as leveraging technology and aiding in post-crisis recovery.

It's also an opportunity to showcase collaboration with local leaders and partner organizations to make Kitimat a better place to live and work. The AGM brings the community together in a shared commitment to strengthening local business and building a vibrant, resilient economy.

CHAMBER WELCOMES NEW BOARD AT AGM AND HONOURS PAST YEAR’S ACHIEVEMENTS

The Kitimat Chamber of Commerce held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, April 18th, where it welcomed its new board and celebrated achievements from the previous year.

The new board is comprised of 11 members, with 7 returning and 4 new members. The 2024 Board consists of individuals that represent key sectors within our community. Laurel D'Andrea, executive director of the chamber of commerce, is excited about the newly established board. “Our members can expect new ideas, advanced strategies, and a diverse range of expertise that will continue to shape the direction of the organization and create further opportunities for growth and success.” Our mission statement is to strengthen, support, and connect the community and this newly formed board will continue to make that happen.

The 2024/2025 Board Members are:

  • President – Warren Featherstone – MK Bay Marina
  • Vice President - Paul LeBlanc – Transdev Secretary
  • Jackie Sweet – Jacqueline Sweet Notary
