You will use your expertise to:
- Lead three specialist teams covering DCS/OT, Process Control, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Accountable for defining, delivering, and implementing control system frameworks, including procedures and work management systems, to meet LNGC Process Control Systems Cybersecurity policy requirements across the full OT and control systems fleet.
- Define and implement maintenance strategies for all OT and control systems, including Yokogawa integrated DCS & SIS, IPS/F&G, and all associated third‑party systems, covering hardware, software, and system integration.
- Develop and implement SIS lifecycle management governance in compliance with BC Oil and Gas Commission (BCOGC) regulatory requirements.
- Define performance criteria for final control elements (including ESD and EDV valves) to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Establish and manage critical vendor agreements to maintain the integrity, reliability, and security of control systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Support site assurance activities in collaboration with the commissioning team, including commissioning and handover of OT infrastructure.
- Remain accountable for process plant control performance, providing expert technical advice on process optimization, control strategies, operating procedures, troubleshooting, and safeguarding systems across all facilities.
- Manage Process Control systems cost‑effectively while maintaining the highest standards of HSE performance, integrity, and reliability; identify and deliver efficiency and capacity improvements on an economically justifiable basis.
- Define and execute a Process Control monitoring program, including KPIs, to identify performance “bad actors,” predict emerging issues, and deliver short‑, mid‑, and long‑term solutions through proactive monitoring of controller uptime and plant performance.
- Initiate and manage Threat & Opportunity (MTO) and Management of Change (MOC) processes, ensuring robust risk assessment and mitigation for HSSE, reliability, availability, and operability risks.
- Lead development studies and performance improvement initiatives using advanced process control techniques; stay abreast of emerging technologies and build the business case for change to improve reliability, efficiency, production, and environmental performance.
- Drive the integration of digital solutions into new ways of working, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and future‑proofing the business.
