J. Oviatt Contracting Ltd. has been in the heavy construction business in the Pacific Northwest, based in Kitimat, for the past 35 years. Currently their sister company, Daudet Creek Contracting Ltd. manages all earthworks, site development/remediation, civil works and road building projects. J. Oviatt Contracting now deals exclusively in bare land and home sales, primarily in Strawberry Meadows neighbourhood.
J. Oviatt Contracting has always been involved in the community of Kitimat. They are continually upgrading the annual Kitimat Mudder Games course and obstacles, a fun family-friendly event held in August. In the past they have been the primary organizer and sponsor of the annual Bullorama, which has been an important fundraiser for several local clubs and organizations. They also directly support various other organizations including the Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club, Mount Elizabeth Middle Secondary School, Kinsmen and Rotary, among many others.
Kitimat is, and always will be, their home. They look forward to their role in the community as it grows in the coming years!
